This web site is designed to give you information about the crime(s) you have been charged with, the procedure that you are going to go through, and the penalties and risks that you are facing. However, this is only a beginning.
Over the course of our careers, we have seen many people make the mistake of thinking that they can research enough information to try and represent themselves in court.
This is almost universally a bad idea! There is no substitute for meeting with an experienced criminal defense attorney and having one by your side during the entire process to advise and fight for you. It is for this reason that we suggest you meet face to face with one of us to decide if we would be a good fit to help you through this period in your life.
As you navigate through this web site, you will notice that we have listed many Washington criminal offenses. While we have helped people with all types of charges, we spend most of our time helping people accused of Washington State DUIs. This is one of the most common offenses in this state, with over 40,000 people per year accused of DUI or DWI.
However, we are experienced in helping people accused of everything from shoplifting to murder. We find that we are regularly in court with our clients on cases involving Domestic Violence, Assault, Theft, Fraud, Reckless Driving, Drug Charges, Sex Offenses and everything in between.
For some of the most common charges we have created separate web sites click here if you would like to go directly to the DUI / DWI, Domestic Violence, Reckless Driving, Theft / Fraud Charges, or VUCSA / Drug Charges web sites that we have created.
If you think that we can help you, then please call us to set up an in-person meeting. At that meeting we will: (1) talk to you about what happened leading up to the criminal charges being filed against you and the facts of your case; (2) go over the relevant laws with you including the possible penalties you are facing; and (3) talk to you about what you can expect in court, the procedure your case will go through, and what things you can do (and should not do) to help your case. We will also take time to answer your questions whatever they might be.
At the end of the meeting, if you think we would be a good fit to help you, then we will discuss fees. Each case is unique and some take a lot more time than others, so we cannot accurately predict fees prior to meeting with you and fully discussing your case. While we are not going to be the cheapest attorneys you can find our fees are reasonable and most people we meet with are able to hire us.
Finally, we will not try to “hard sell” you to hire us. We know choosing an attorney to entrust with your case and your life is a big decision and one you must make carefully not under pressure. Because the attorney-client relationship requires a lot of communication and trust, we really only want to represent people who feel comfortable with us and have complete confidence in our abilities. If you don’t, then you have the right to an attorney that you do feel would be a better fit.
Thank you for taking the time to look through this web site. Please contact us if you would like to meet and further discuss how we may assist you.
